We returned!!

Good morning all from sunny Elkhorn, MB!  We have all returned safe and sound to the lovely soils of Canada!!  I think the trip was a huge success, we made all of our connecting flights with very little delay, a little bit of bus trouble in Wpg, then made it home by about 10 PMish last night.  I will try and get some more pictures posted today, so stay tuned.
Internet connectivity throughout Europe is not quite what we are used to so I apologize that we did not have more posts.  I guess if I wasn't so square I would have had an iPod or a Blackberry and then I could have done more posts.

Leaving Florence

Its 0710 and we are getting ready to head into breakfast.  We have to wait for another group to finish up.  We have about a 2.5 hr trip to Assissi, then a stop and sightsee, then off to Rome, another 2.5 hrs.  Weather is to be 18 and rainy in Rome so we will see.  We did a real nice walking tour of Florence yesterday, rainy periods, with sunny breaks.  Gloria Peasso met us in the center of the city, and her and her friends tagged along with us for awhile.  We had a great supper, pasta, french fries, some sort of meat, followed by ice cream.  The kids, Tom and I went out to a disco, so the kids were able to see soe of the locals perform, maybe Cdn kids are well behave.  Well say hi to all for us, we are off!!!!

Visiting the Louvre

WE RE IN THE LOUVRE, weather is great!!!!  We are off to Florence tonight, train departs at 1825, we should arrive in Florence tomorrow at 0715.
We re at the Mac Store in the LOUVRE, so we ll try and post more tomorrow.
